Cassina and Le Corbusier have been active players in the design community for nearly a century. Their presence is as relevant today as it was in the late 1920s, when the roots of Cassina were established by brothers Cesare and Umberto Cassina in the northern Italian region of Brianza, and Le Corbusier introduced his juxtaposition of traditional and innovative design in a collection of furniture for day-to-day life.
