Flensted Puffing Troll Teak Mobile
Christian Flensted was a wonderful storyteller and in 1977 one of his stories turned into a mobile. The puffing trolls were wonderful little creatures that lived in the woods and attics around our yellow school and troll-puffing was said to be extremely beneficial: “Puffing at trolls when feeling sad, lessens pain and makes you glad”. But Puffing Trolls were very shy and therefore hard to find, except for one of them: The one with the long tail and a golden ring in its ear.
Christian Flensted had a meeting with this particular Puffing Troll and was allowed to make a mobile so that people all around the world would benefit from its magical powers.

Mobiles are a traditional craft in Denmark, but the modern mobile - as a decoration for the home - was created in 1953 by Christian Flensted and his wife Grethe to celebrate the birth of their first daughter. Their first design, the stork mobile, was a great success, and now flies all over the world. Christian Flensted became known as the "Uromager", a name impossible to translate into English, which means a "maker of mischievous things that are always on the move". Flensted Mobiles are designed that the elements are in constant motion while the entire mobile maintains a harmonic balance.
This item qualifies for free door-to-door delivery within Canada, with a few exceptions:
- Orders $150 or less are charged a $35 small order fee at checkout.
- Additional charges apply for Remote Delivery Areas including the Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and other remote locations outside of major city centres.
- Small items will be delivered by FedEx or other courier service in your area.
- Large items will be delivered by freight service. This is standard curbside delivery; meaning the driver will not haul up an incline or up stairs, and it will be your responsibility to bring the item inside, complete any assembly, and remove packaging debris.
