Looking closely at the anatomy of the beetle insect, characterised by its solid outside and soft inside, the front upholstered Beetle Chair possesses all attributes. The front upholstered Beetle Chair holds the same soft core as the fully upholstered version, giving it an outstanding comfort while the contrasting outer in polypropylene plastic functions as a protective shell. The Beetle can exude a personal adornment with an upholstery of your choice. Due to its unique design, the front upholstery can also be changed with time to give the chair a different expression and new life to the interior decoration. GamFratesi has reinterpreted the characteristic elements of the beetles' sections when designing the Beetle Chair: shape, shells, sutures, rigid outside and soft inside. The comfortable yet dynamic design makes the chair suitable for multiple environments whether it is in the home or the workplace.

GamFratesi
GamFratesi's design takes its creative drive from a fusion of tradition and renewal and in an experimental approach to their chosen materials and techniques. With their dual traditional background, Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi draw on the classic Danish furniture and craft tradition as well as the classic Italian intellectual and conceptual approach. Understanding a tradition and addressing it actively in the workshop makes it possible to expand on it. From this cross-cultural substrate they create furniture that respectfully reflects tradition while also featuring unique embedded stories, symbols and associations, often expressed in a minimalist idiom. GamFratesi aim to create furniture that illustrates the process and the techniques that created it, and which reflect a persistent exploration of the diverse border zone between harmony and disharmony.
Gamfratesi studio was founded in 2006 by Danish architect Stine Gam and Italian architect Enrico Fratesi. The studio is based in Copenhagen.

This item qualifies for free door-to-door delivery within Canada, with a few exceptions:
- Orders $150 or less are charged a $35 small order fee at checkout.

- Small items will be delivered by FedEx or other courier service in your area.
- Large items will be delivered by freight service. This is standard curbside delivery; meaning the driver will not haul up an incline or up stairs, and it will be your responsibility to bring the item inside, complete any assembly, and remove packaging debris.
