Habits Studio
Habits Studio was founded in 2004 by Innocenzo Rifino and Diego Rossi, following a few years’ independent professional experience: Japan, robotics, lighting, interaction design. From these come the first products designed for Luceplan, a company of international renown in the field of lighting design: Zeno (pendant lamp was awarded an honourable mention at Compasso d’Oro 2004, Agave, Supergiù (pendant lamp, winner of the Design Plus 2006). In the same period the studio designed Uma, a kitchen scale for Casa Bugatti, a brand that over the years and has become one of the leading global innovators in kitchen accessories and small appliances design. Habits is based on a new entrepreneurial idea, Elements of Luceplan with the design definition of a new corporate reality, a project/company that requires thought creation that is structured, systematic and capable of reaching beyond the product, designing the image, the buying experience, the contract. Today, the works of Habits are focused largely on illumination, household goods, electrical appliances, electronics; these are integrated with the company’s activities of corporate identity definition, visual and interaction design, interior architecture and layouts.
Luceplan was founded with the objective of creating and producing interior and exterior lighting and to enhance the quality of living. Energy saving is top priority. Embracing the environmental compatibility of their whole operation – from choice of materials to the manufacturing process, from product durability to product maintenance. If an object is to last, it needs to be beautiful as well as technologically sound. But a long-lasting product also offers better environmental compatibility and it outlives fashions. Formed in 1978, Luceplan’s history is marked by well-defined constant – experimentation, research and quality and by a philosophy focused on creating “beautiful items for the public at large”.
