After ten years of collaboration at the Oslo based Norway Says design company, founders Torbjørn Andersen and Espen Voll have set about creating a new firm. Andersen & Voll was launched in autumn 2009 and have quickly set about creating modern, clean designs for which they have become known. Anderssen & Voll works within various fields of design, but focuses main on domestic objects.
Anderssen & Voll are two thirds of the former Norway Says and among the most prominent and succesful Norwegian designers. They have formerly been named both Norwegian and Scandinavian designers of the year in Norway and have received international awards and recognition for their work with furniture, lighting and home accessories.
At Muuto, it’s all about finding new perspectives. They take inspiration from their Nordic roots to create pieces that are new and fresh, yet true to their Scandinavian design heritage. They call this approach New Nordic. Muuto creates furniture, lighting and home accessories with that very characteristically Scandinavian style.
At Muuto good design starts with the person. The journey from idea to object is begun by an individual’s spark of creativity. Muuto handpicks the brightest design talents in Scandinavia and gives them the freedom to express their individual story through everyday objects, pushing the boundaries of Scandinavian design in their own way, offering their own new perspectives. How do they see a chair, vase, lamp or any other everyday product? A range full of new perspectives, or “muutos” as the Finnish would say. By giving their designers the space to let loose with their imaginations, the results can often be fantastic.
This item qualifies for free door-to-door delivery within Canada, with a few exceptions:
- Orders $150 or less are charged a $35 small order fee at checkout.
- Additional charges apply for Remote Delivery Areas including the Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and other remote locations outside of major city centres.
- Small items will be delivered by FedEx or other courier service in your area.
- Large items will be delivered by freight service. This is standard curbside delivery; meaning the driver will not haul up an incline or up stairs, and it will be your responsibility to bring the item inside, complete any assembly, and remove packaging debris.
