Pallucco Fortuny Floor Lamp
Conceived by Mariano Fortuny in 1907, the Fortuny floor lamp continues to be considered a contemporary and timeless icon to this day. The know-how and talent of the eclectic artist gave shape to the Fortuny lamp design with which he revolutionized stage lighting and experimented with a new indirect lighting system for the stage. The idea for the base came from the camera’s tripod, with its adjustable leg, while for the lampshade Mariano Fortuny reversed the typical lampshades of the time, making them tiltable and thus creating a light orientation instrument. In the history of design, there are few projects capable of lending themselves to new interpretations, keeping an unmistakable personality. The new version with Silver fabric from the famous Rubelli weaving mill is yet another example.

Pallucco, a historic brand in the world of design specializing in the production of decorative lamps and interior furnishings, was born in the 1970s in Rome thanks to architect Paolo Pallucco. In the early 1980s, the company moved to the Veneto region and immediately stood out for the non-conformist concept of its designs and image. Pallucco stands for design culture and experimentation of art, architecture and design: in an ongoing exploration of the boundaries of contemporary design and with great freedom of expression, which is the authentic label of Pallucco. The company switches from research of the most diverse idioms and styles to the contamination of the fashion world through collaboration with photographers and stylists. A new design language, made up of creativity, quality and attention to details, brings exclusive products to the Pallucco collection.
